PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier for reducing a manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: In the humidifier comprising a temperature detecting means to detect indoor humidity information, a room temperature detecting means 2 to detect indoor temperature information, a humidity setting means 3 to set the target humidity, and a calculating means 4a to calculate the humidification quantity, the humidity detecting means 1 comprises a humidity sensor 1a and a fixed resistor 1b. A calculating means 4a calculates the present indoor humidity based on the information from the humidity detecting means 1 and the room temperature detecting means 2, and the humidification quantity is calculated by an operating means 4b based on the information from the calculating means 4a and the information from the humidity setting means 3.
