PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual processor system capable of achieving high performance and miniaturization. SOLUTION: For communications between corresponding processor units on 0 and 1 system processor cards C0 and C1, sequence numbers are added to transmit data in order to the continuity of the transmit data, to thereby retransmit missing data. For communications between processor units on the same card, connections PC0 and PC1 between the processor units autonomously transfer data. Further, input/output switching parts IC0 and IC1 are caused to switch the data path of input data according to the operating conditions of the processor cards and the input/output parts (input/output switching parts and input/output interface parts) are mounted on the processor cards.
