PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator for immediately close a passage when a strong wind blows outside a building, minimizing discomfort of workers or inhabitants in the building, minimizing rise of the dust or sand caused by the strong wind within the building, and automatically returning the ventilation to a regular one when a strong wind stops which is disposed on a longitudinal frame or a part in the vicinity thereof along the longitudinal frame. SOLUTION: The ventilator 1 comprises a frame means 8 which has an upper wall part 2 and a lower wall part 3, and demarcates a passage 7 to communicate the inside 12 of a building with the outside 13 thereof by the upper wall part 2 and the lower part 3, a blade member 9 extending from the upper wall part 2 to the lower wall part 3, and rotatably disposed on the upper wall part 2 and the lower wall part 3.
