PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined piston ring allowing the strength of a projection to be sufficiently assured and the projection to be easily formed in the combined piston ring formed of two piston rings having a rotating stopping means formed of the projection and a cutout. SOLUTION: In this combined piston ring, two piston rings 4 and 5 are vertically stacked on each other and fitted to a ring groove 3. The piston rings 4 and 5 have cutouts 8a, 8b, 10a, and 10b on the inner peripheral sides of the end parts of abutment joints, and axial projections 9 and 11 formed by pressing at a portion on the opposite side of the abutment joints. The axial projections 9 and 11 of the piston rings 4 and 5 are inserted into the cutout parts at the end parts of the abutment joints of the other piston rings. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
