<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the users of the Internet to efficiently retrieve a Web page matched with the retrieval request of each user. <P>SOLUTION: A client who requests a Web page guide transmits the URL of an arbitrary Web page to a Web server (guide information providing device). The Web server obtains the Web page (back windows in a figure) from another Web server, and prepares the guide page (front windows in the figure) from the guide information of the page held by the Web server itself, and transmits both the pages to the client. The client evaluates themes handled by the Web page and the quality of the Web page through the guide page, and refers to the total result of all the evaluations collected until the present time, that is, the evaluation of the page at the present point of time as necessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
