PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing bisphenol A, in which bisphenol A-phenol adduct can be recovered from the reaction mother solution in a good yield in a high purity, when the bisphenol A is taken out from the reaction mixture. SOLUTION: This method for producing the bisphenol A is characterized by filtering a bisphenol A phenol slurry solution (1) containing the bisphenol A-phenol adduct in a crystal state through a filter to form a bisphenol A-phenol adduct layer in a crystal state on the filter, washing the layer, dissolving the washed adduct layer in a phenol-containing solvent, subjecting the solution to a crystallization treatment to produce the bisphenol A phenol slurry solution (2) containing the bisphenol A-phenol adduct in a crystal state, and then subjecting the slurry solution (2) to a centrifugal separation treatment to separate the bisphenol A-phenol adduct in the crystal state.
