PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve system performance and to make maximum use of a high-capacity storage by managing exclusive access control of a virtual partition by a plurality of log-in users in collective management in a database and maintaining log-in information on the client side. SOLUTION: This server system is constructed of a virtual partition allocation part 10 setting the virtual partition in a storage 4 and allocating the virtual partition to a group with registered users and an exclusive access control part 20 performing exclusive access control of the virtual partition by a plurality of log-in users on the virtual partition having a usage condition set for each group. The log-in information is maintained on the client side, and when log-in to the server is carried out by using the long-in information, use of the allocated virtual partition is allowed.
