PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-melting metal powder which is made from a low- melting metal material with a melting point of 500°C or lower, and contains little oxygen along with having a satisfactorily globular shape, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the low-melting metal powder comprises atomizing a molten metal of the low-melting metal material 9 having the melting point of 500°C or lower with a gas atomization method, while flowing the molten metal down from a teeming nozzle 14, by blowing an atomization gas 16 to the molten metal stream from a gas injection tip 12b, and then making the atomized molten metal particles float and be cooled down for an adequate dwell time, in an inert gas atmosphere containing a volatile component of an organic solvent as a disperse medium, to coat the surfaces of the fine metal particles with the volatile component of the organic solvent.
