PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal spray apparatus for repairing a coke oven with a compact lance mainframe that is capable of repairing an inner surface of the coke oven, observing the conditions of a furnace wall and a spray nozzle of a thermal spray material. SOLUTION: The thermal spray apparatus 10 for repairing the coke oven, observing the inner wall surface CB of the coke oven, is comprised of the lance mainframe 11 attached to the tip of a boom BM, that is, a water cooling box equipped with a glass window; an observation camera 13 installed in the lance mainframe to observe the inner wall surface CB of the coke oven through the glass window; a lamp 14 for lighting a section to be shot by the observation camera 13; and the spray nozzle 16 of the thermal spray material to repair the inner wall surface CB of the coke oven. The spray nozzle 16 of the thermal spray material is set so that an intersection of an axis of the nozzle 16 and the inner wall surface CB of the coke oven is located within a shooting range of the observation camera 13.
