PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal having a position detecting function and an urgent message function, an urgent message system and an urgent message control method whereby a center quickly knows the position of the mobile terminal. SOLUTION: The mobile terminal 1 has a position detecting function and an urgent message function for messaging a center via a base station. The terminal 1 starts watching by operating a watch start/cancel switching circuit 25. It stores positioning data measured by a GPS positioning means in a memory circuit 21. If the positioning data are not obtained, it communicates with the base station through a radio transceiver circuit 23 to obtain positioning data to be stored therein. If the positioning data vary abnormally successively in excess of an allowable number of times, the terminal sends a mobile trouble message to the center 3 via the base station from the radio transceiver circuit 23, together with all positioning logs stored in the memory circuit 21, and an urgency button is depressed to send an urgency message to the center 3 via the base station 10 from the radio transceiver circuit 23, together with all positioning logs stored in the memory circuit 21.
