PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump for a dish washer capable of reducing operating noise in a pump casing, reducing a space therefor, and increasing a water discharge capacity. SOLUTION: This pump for the dish water comprises a casing having a suction port, a washing discharge port, and a drain discharge port, and a flow passage branch part therein, an impeller installed in the casing, a motor for rotatingly driving the impeller in normal or reverse direction, and a selector valve for selecting a water feeding to that from the washing discharge port or the drain discharge port according to the normal or reverse rotation of the impeller. The angles of the ridges of the portions of the impeller mostly close to each other relative to the rotating plane of the impeller are formed differently from each other at the end part of the flow passage branch part opposed to the vane part of the impeller and the outermost contour part of the impeller when the impeller is rotated in normal or reverse direction.
