PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission of a vehicle for preventing a shock from occurring in starting the vehicle even though an engine-speed limit is released in starting, referring to an automatic transmission, specifically a control means at the time of starting. SOLUTION: The automatic transmission comprises an injection-volume changeover means and an injection-volume slow change means. The fuel- injection-volume changeover means interrupts fuel injection by stepping on an accelerator pedal from a point of the completion of the limit release of the engine speed by an injection-volume limit-release means. During the operation of the injection-volume changeover means, the injection-volume slow change means feeds the fuel-injection volume by increasing it at a predetermined gradient during a fuel-injection volume at the time of an engine-speed limit reaches a driver's injection demand, to an injection-volume control means.
