PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel and an address electrode of a plasma display panel are provided to stabilize the sustain discharge by reducing an electric potential difference in a falling process of a sustain pulse during a sustain discharge period. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes a process for driving each subfield. Each subfield has a reset period for forming wall charges into discharge cells, an address period for generating the address discharge to select the discharge cells, and a sustain period for generating the sustain discharge. A sustain pulse is applied a scan electrode and a sustain electrode during the sustain period in order to generate the sustain discharge. The process for supplying the sustain pulse to the scan electrode and the sustain electrode includes a process for sustaining a sustain voltage and a process for applying a falling sustain voltage during the second period except for the first period. |
