PURPOSE: A ROM(Read Only Memory) device for recovering pseudo random error data and a data recovery method are provided to sense an error of data and recover the error, by generating an address by encoding data being output from the ROM and then by comparing the address with an original data address. CONSTITUTION: An error address scan part(201) receives a plurality of ROM addresses, and outputs an error address if the ROM address coincides with the error address, and otherwise outputs a general address. A precharge signal generation part(202) generates a peri precharge signal(PRE_PE) having a delay time and a core precharge signal(PRE_CO) having a longer delay time by being synchronized to a clock signal. A predecoding part(203) predecodes the general address being output from the error address scan part. A decoder(204) decodes the peri precharge signal and the plurality of general addresses predecoded in the predecoding part, and selects a word line according to the decoding result. A precharge part(205) receives the core precharge signal from the precharge signal generation part, and precharges a bit line using it. A core part(206) is connected to a word line connected to the decoder and a bit line connected to the precharge part, and transfers final data stored in a desired position to the bit line if the word line is selected after bit line precharge. A data address generation part(207) generates a plurality of data addresses by coding a plurality of ROM, and decodes the address if a control signal and an address requiring actual data. An error detection part(208) outputs an error signal, by comparing the data address with the plurality of general addresses. A buffer(209) outputs a final ROM data transferred to the bit line. And a pseudo error register(210) outputs the address generated by the error address to the data address generation part, and stores the actual data and the error address, if the error signal is inputted.
