FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has elongated cylindrical rod manufactured from thermoplastic material selectable from a group containing polyamide and polyether block copolymer or styrene block copolymer. The elongated cylindrical rod is covered with hydrophilic coating by sequentially covering the surface with solution having 0.05 to 40% (mass/volume) isocyanate compound and solution having 0.5 to 50% (mass/volume) polyvinyl pyrrolidone. The coating is hardened at high temperature. EFFECT: no significant shrinkage in longitudinal dimension. 22 cl
