<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope which can optimize the moving speed of a focus position. <P>SOLUTION: A second lens 212 of a close-up optical system 210 is a focusing lens (group). The focusing lens 212 is fixed into a body tube. A rack gear 1 parallel with an optical axis Ax1 is secured to the flank of the body tube and is meshed with a pinion gear 2 near the front end of a drive shaft of a DC motor 3 for focusing. The DC motor 3 for focusing and an encoder 3a are connected to a microcomputer 20 and a switch group 21 for focusing is connected to this microcomputer 20. When the switch group 21 is pushed down, the microcomputer 20 supplies electric power so as to drive the DC motor 3 for focusing at the rotating speeds according to the positions of the second and third lens groups (variable power lens groups) 222, 223, 322 and 323 of zoom optical systems 220 and 230. When the pushing down of the switch group 21 for focusing is stopped, the microcomputer stops the supply of the electric power. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
