PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing disk drive using an optical pickup, which has a shutter to prevent dirt and dust to the objective lens. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing disk drive using an optical pickup 10 is characterized in that it has a rotary shaft 91 planted on the chassis 1 to turn a shutter 1 attached free to turn, and that the shutter opens and closes the objective lens 15 following the moving optical pickup 10.
