PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluoropolymer reduced in the effect on the environment, low in toxity, generating no crack at the time of coating and having excellent gloss. SOLUTION: An aqueous dispersion liquid of the fluoropolymer with a mean particle size of 150-400 nm contains a difunctional fluorinated surfactant represented by formula (1): A-R<SB>f</SB>-B (1) [wherein, A and B are same or mutually different and a group: -(O)<SB>p</SB>CFX-COOM (wherein, M is NH<SB>4</SB>, an alkali metal or H, X is F or CF<SB>3</SB>and p is an integer equal to 0 or 1) and R<SB>f</SB>is a straight chain or branched chain perfluoroalkyl or (per)fluoropolyether chain so as to set the number average molecular weight of the formula (1) to 300-1,800].
