FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of permanent joints of locks in oil well tubing and drill pipes. Proposed device is made up of smooth pipes and previously made couplings by acting onto part of coupling by deforming force. Joints thread is cut on one half of coupling by means of which pipes are connected to each other, and couplings are connected with pipe by other half. Conical groove is made on inner surface in place where end of pipe is found. Length of said groove is 0.1-0.3 of pipe diameter, taper is 1:20-1:50, and on other part triangular grooves are made to depth of 0.1-0.15 of pipe wall thickness, and diameter of part of coupling with joint thread is equal to diameter of reducing bushing. Strength of coupling material is either greater than or equal to strength of pipe. Coupling is provided with stop for pipe whose inner diameter is greater than inner diameter of pipe by 0.3 - 0.5 mm. In process of reducing, mandrel, taper 1:70 - 1:120, and mean diameter equal to inner diameter of pipe, is installed inside coupling. Reducing done, bushing is taken out.
