PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular jack capable of preventing a loss of signal by retaining a root part of a signal cable. SOLUTION: The modular jack 1 has a first casing 21, a second casing 22 for closing an opening of the first casing 21, a wiring structure disposed in these casings. The modular jack is characterized in that a wiring space is formed between connection parts 24 in two rows formed on the second casing 22 and a receiving part 26 of a signal cable 3 projected from the second casing 22 is provided at an extension part of the wiring space.
