PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level detector by restraining silver sulfide from being generated. SOLUTION: The level detector 1 is provided with a circuit board 2 equipped with a plurality of fixed electrodes 3 connected to a resistor 4; and a sliding contact 5 used to slide the fixed electrodes 3 due to a fluctuation in a level. When the sliding contact 5 comes into contact with an arbitrary fixed electrode 3 from among the plurality of fixed electrodes 3, a resistance value of the resistor 4 corresponding to the arbitrary fixed electrode 3 is output.
