PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator for deodorizing and sterilizing a vegetable room arranged in a storage. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator, the vegetable room V is arranged under a refrigerating room R via a partition wall 1. A cold air passage 2 is formed in the partition wall 1. An opening part 2a and a through hole 2b opening in the vegetable room V are arranged in a part of this cold air passage 2. A photocatalyst filter 3 is installed in the opening part 2a of the cold air passage 2, and an ultraviolet lamp 4 is installed above the filter. A photocatalyst layer 5 is arranged on an upper wall positioned above the ultraviolet lamp 4 in the cold air passage 2. A photocatalyst of the photocatalyst filter 3 and the photocatalyst layer 5 is activated by irradiating an ultraviolet ray from the ultraviolet lamp 4. Cold air flowing in the cold air passage 2 is deodorized by the photocatalyst of the photocatalyst layer 5, and is supplied in the vegetable room V via the through hole 2b after sterilizing various bacteria by irradiating the ultraviolet ray. An odor component generated in the vegetable room V is deodorized by the photocatalyst of the photocatalyst filter 3, and the various bacteria in the vegetable room V are sterilized by irradiation of the ultraviolet ray.
