APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INITIAL DRIVING OPERATION OF PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for controlling an initial driving operation of a plasma display panel are provided to supply a driving waveform of a high voltage of a normal state to a driving circuit of the plasma display panel by delaying the outputting states of control signals during the predetermined period. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling an initial driving operation of a plasma display panel includes a timing controller(32), a micro computer(35), and an initial driving control portion. The timing controller(32) is used for supplying a driving waveform of a high voltage of a normal state to a driving circuit of the plasma display panel by controlling the output of control signals to drive the plasma display panel. The micro computer(35) is used for generating a timing reset signal to control an operation for supplying the driving waveform of the high voltage by controlling an initial reset process of the timing controller(32). The initial driving control portion supplies the driving waveform of the high voltage of the normal state to the driving circuit of the plasma display panel by delaying the outputting states of control signals of the timing controller(32) by using the timing reset signal.
