PURPOSE: A heater of an ice making machine is provided to transfer uniform quantity of heat to each of ice parts. CONSTITUTION: A heater(44) is formed U-shaped, and installed on a lower end of an ice making container. The heater comprises a pair of terminal parts(42) connected with power source; a coil(38) passing introduced electric current to generate heat; and a heater tube(36) covering the coil. The coil comprises a pair of linear parts(34a,34b); and a circular arc connecting part(40) connecting the linear parts, and curved. Pitch of the coils is different on the linear parts and the circular arc connecting part so that the pitch of the coil is very narrow on the linear parts, and very wide on the circular arc connecting part. Electric current flows from the power source through the terminal parts along the coil and comes out through the terminal parts. The coil is made of material with large resistance to generate heat. The heater tube of the heater is made of material with excellent heat conductivity to transfer heat generated by the coil.
