The joint covering strip (1) consists of an extrusion that covers the gap (J) between a wall and a fixed frame (CD) and fits onto the head (50) of a screw (5) in the fixed frame, either directly or via a spacer (2) compensating for the distance (d) between the frame and outer surface of the wall. The covering strip has two fixing channels (19), and when used with a spacer it is connected to it by a clip.
