<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel treatment device 101 safely and economically stopping without purging inert gas nor causing deterioration of a filled catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel treatment device reforming raw gas G1 supplied together with steam S into fuel gas containing H<SB>2</SB>as the main component is equipped with a reforming part 2 reforming raw gas into reformed gas G2 containing H<SB>2</SB>and CO as the main components, a modifying part 3 reducing the content of CO in reformed gas, a housing vessel 41 housing the reforming part and modifying part, cutting means 28, 29, 30 cutting off to prevent communication of gas with the inside and the outside, and a control means 21 controlling the flow rate of the raw gas and steam, continuing the supply of the steam only for a specified time even after the supply of the raw gas supplied together with steam is stopped, reopening the supply of the raw gas when the supply of the steam is stopped, and operating the cut off means when the supply of the raw gas is stopped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
