<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrode catalyst in a process with high productivity by forming a stable reversed micelle in a short time in the production of the electrode catalyst suitable for oxygen reduction in a reversed micelle method. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the electrode catalyst is that a reversed micelle comprising an aqueous solution of salts of two kinds or more metals and polyoxyethylene alkylether and a reversed micelle comprising a precipitant of the metal salt and alkylether are mixed under the presence of carbon particles in an organic solvent to form a dispersing element, and solids are removed from the dispersing element, and dried and baked. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
