PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage apparatus operating system, which enables an operator to directly operate a storage apparatus. SOLUTION: The storage apparatus operating system has an operating function 22, in which a host computer 10 issues a pre-specified command to a storage apparatus 3, based on an operation instruction from an operator and operates the storage apparatus 3. In addition, the storage apparatus operating system also has a translation function 21, in which the host computer 10 stores corresponding data of scripts described corresponding to each command and commands, and translates a script inputted to the host computer 10 by an operator to a command corresponding to the script, based on the corresponding data.
