PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound capable of imparting hydrophilicity to an organic polymer, and to provide a polymeric composition using the compound, and an organic polymer obtained by polymerizing the polymeric composition. SOLUTION: The new compound has a sulfonamide group, and an acryloyl group or a methacryloyl group in the molecule. The composition contains the new compound and a reactive compound providing an organic polymer by reacting with the new compound.
