PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appliance for heat-cooking foods and detecting areas of the foods. SOLUTION: The heat-cooking device comprises a temperature measuring means 605 to measure the temperature at each area in a heating chamber 4 in a non-contact manner, a brightness measuring means 606 to measure the brightness of each area in the heating chamber 4, and a direction variable means 600 to change the direction of the visual field of the temperature measuring means 605 and the direction variable means 600.
