PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve capable of holding a valve element in a neutral state, and a fuel pump module using the same. SOLUTION: This check valve 3 is provided with a valve housing 30 having a fluid passage 301, a valve seat 31 fixed in the valve housing 30, a valve element 32 disposed to be seated on/separated from the valve seat 31, and a valve element stopper 34 to regulate lift quantity of the valve element 32 to the valve seat 31. The check valve 3 switches between a valve closing state for the valve element 32 to be seated on the valve seat 31 for closing the fluid passage 301, and a valve opening state for the valve element 32 to be separated from the valve seat 31 to a position where the valve element 32 is regulated by the valve element stopper 34 for opening the fluid passage 301. The check valve 3 has a valve element holding member 35 to hold the valve element 32 in a neutral state between the valve closing state and the valve opening state when downstream side pressure and upstream side pressure of the valve seat 31 are almost equal to each other.
