PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric which is uniformly interlaced and has a uniform surface even if water-jet holes are partially clogged. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the nonwoven fabric using a water- flow interlacement apparatus, by which a water flow is applied to a fiber web to interlace the fibers, a nozzle plate for water flow entanglement having a plurality of two or more lines of water-jet holes is used in the direction perpendicular to the flow direction of the fiber web, water loci jetted from two or more lines of the water-jet holes have time lags on the same lines in the flow direction of the fiber web and the fiber web is interlaced by the water flow.
