PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer device capable of flexibly complying with a change of an address or a size of a data storage area. SOLUTION: A transfer management header forming part 1 obtains relative addresses of respective columns in a transfer target table to the heads of respective transfer target table in a transfer target database 10 and column sizes of the respective columns. A work table formation part 3 writes data about the respective columns in the respective transfer source tables in the transfer source database 10 to the columns of the work table 30 defined by the obtained relative addresses and the column sizes. Consequently, data can be transferred flexibly-in compliance with the change in the address or the size of the data storage area. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
