FIELD: organic and bioorganic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agents potentiating analgetic effect of morphine hydrochloride. Invention relates to usage of tetrapeptide: Trp-Nle-Asp-PheNH-CH(CH3)2 of the following chemical formula: as agent potentiating analgetic effect of morphine hydrochloride. Potentiating analgetic effect is provided by simultaneous administration of teterapeptide Trp-Nle-Asp-PheNH-CH(CH3)2b and morphine hydrochloride and when administration of tetrapeptide Trp-Nle-Asp-PheNH-CH(CH3)2 precedes to administration of morphine hydrochloride also. The use of this substance allows to reduce morphine hydrochloride dose but to retain its analgetic effect that promotes to reduction of risk in formation of dependence to morphine in using the latter as an analgetic agent.
