<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed can made of stainless steel which can be fixed to a transparent substrate of an organic EL element with a high flatness of a flange and excellent sealability without causing a reduction of an adhering property. <P>SOLUTION: A rectangular blank 10 notched with four corners is cut out from a stainless steel plate and is subjected to press-molding to an intermediate product 16 having a flange 15 and a side-wall 14 at the inside of the notch 11. Then, the flange 15 is trimmed to a predetermined width. Thereby, the sealed can for organic ELD is manufactured. At the time of press-molding, a step bead 12 may be formed between a peripheral edge of the blank 10 and the flange 15. Trimming of the flange 15 preferably comprises two steps that two sides opposed to each other are trimmed and then the remaining two sides are trimmed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
