<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy and durability of an operation of each part by raising heat insulation performance of a friction pad and a pressing member of the friction pad and protecting electric appliance such as electric motors inside the caliper body and rotary parts such as advancing and retreating mechanisms from braking heat, and to form these excellent measure against heat insulation at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The electric disk brake operates the advancing and retreating mechanism by the driving force of the electric motor 15, and brakes by generating pressing force to the pressing member of the friction pads 3, 4. A protrusion part 61 is formed on either of mutual opposite surface of the friction pad 3 at the pressing member and the action part 10 pressed by the pressing member, and a recessed part 60 is formed. The pressing member and the friction pad 3 are unrotatably engaged each other by a recess and protrusion fitting. The heat insulation space is formed between the surface of the protrusion part 61 and the inside of the recessed part 60 at the time of this engagement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
