LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE PERFORMING IMAGE DISPLAY MODE AND FINGERPRINT RECOGNITION MODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device obtained by uniting a liquid crystal display device and a fingerprint recognition device into a single body.

SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device comprises a scan drive part for selectively outputting turn-on/turn-off signals in an image display mode according to a row and outputting turn-off signals in a fingerprint recognition mode; a data drive part for outputting data signals in the image display mode; a switch control part for outputting turn-off signals in the image display mode and selectively outputting turn-on/turn-off signals in the fingerprint recognition mode according to a row; a reading part for outputting fingerprint image information read in the fingerprint recognition mode; a sensor thin film transistor wherein a photosensitive layer is formed between a drain and a source, the drain and the source are electrically conducted when light equal to or more than prescribed quantity of light is made incident on the photosensitive layer to drive liquid crystal in the image display mode; and a switch thin film transistor.
