PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device having a high precision, a large numerical aperture, and high reliability. SOLUTION: Organic compound layers each taken from light emitting elements intentionally made adjacent to each other are partially laminated so as to form laminated layers 21 and 22 and provide a full-color flat panel display using luminescence colors of red, green and blue having an improved precision and a large numerical aperture. Moreover, a protective film 32a including hydrogen is provided so as to terminate defects of an organic compound layer with the hydrogen, and improve luminance and reliability. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
