摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand the horizontal directivity or red, green, blue, three primary colors, and simultaneously reduce color shift to realize observation from a wider range by sufficiently expanding a proper visual range even for a projection optical system having a large angle of screen convergence and to improve the uniformity of color of a display screen in a transmission type screen and a rear projection type image display device, and to improve the uniformity of color and brightness of the screen in a multi-screen display device. SOLUTION: In the transmission type screen having a Fresnel lens sheet and a lenticular lens sheet, the distance of an image side conjugate point of the Fresnel lens sheet is optimized to approximately fix the horizontal angle component of the exiting angle of the outgoing light of red and blue on the front of the screen. The aspherical lens shape of a lenticular lens on the light incident surface and the lenticular lens on the light-emitting surface of the lenticular lens sheet is optimized to uniform the horizontal directivity of the image light of red, green, and blue.
