PURPOSE: An apparatus for heat insulation of powder of continuous caster mold is provided to thermally insulate the mold powder using radiant heat of submerged nozzle for injecting molten steel inside tundish into the mold during continuous casting operation. CONSTITUTION: In a continuous casting line, the apparatus for heat insulation of powder of continuous caster mold(120) comprises a high heat discharge part installed at the lower part of tundish(110) of the continuous casting line to eject inert gas of high temperature onto the powder in the mold; a heat transfer part for heating the inert gas to a high temperature by transferring radiant heat emitted from submerged nozzle(111) of the lower part of the tundish to the inert gas; and a driving part for selectively closely adhering the heat transfer part to the submerged nozzle of the lower part of the tundish, wherein the heat transfer part comprises a housing(10) closely adhered to the outer circumferential surface of the submerged nozzle, and a heat reserving material filled in the housing, wherein the high heat discharge part comprises a nitrogen gas proceeding pipe(20), an inner hollow type insulating plate(21) and an ejection hole, and wherein the driving part comprises driving cylinder(30), the insulating plate is rotationally connected to the lower side surface of the housing, and the upper part of the insulating plate and lower part of the tundish are connected by chain of a certain length so that the insulating plate(21) is rotationally controlled by the chain during vertical rotation of the housing to maintain the horizontal state.
