<p>An exercise assisting machine in which the burden on a user is lessened at the time of bending and stretching motion, while ensuring safety, by providing means for assisting the force of the user required for the bending and stretching motion and increase of the product cost is suppressed by eliminating the need for an external power source thereby simplifying the structure. The exercise assisting machine (1) comprises a base (10), a column (20), an elevating/lowering arm (30), a lever arm (40), and a chair (50), wherein the column (20) and the elevating/lowering arm (30) constitute a three-joint link mechanism allowing up/down motion of the chair (50). The exercise assisting machine further comprises means (33) for assisting the standing-up force of a user by generating a force in the standing direction at the fulcrum of the elevating/lowering arm (30) thus lessening the burden on the user. A locking means (11) and a stopper (13) are also provided in order to enhance safety of the user.</p> |
