Multilingual document search method in which each document is allocated a keyword index in a base language and then search requests are input and processed in the same base language

Method for computer based document searches in a multilingual document collection. Accordingly a keyword index is stored for each document in a predetermined base language, which represents the content of the document. The search request is input in the base language. Thus a user input a search request in the base language of the search system with a search then carried out of all the documents by searching their respective keyword indices. The invention also relates to a corresponding system.
