A system comprising a medium (40), portable by a customer, for storing therein customer identification information for identifying the customer, a customer information recording unit (14) for recording customer information on the customer, a customer identification information reading unit (20a) for reading the customer identification information recorded on the medium (40), a customer information retrieving unit (11) for retrieving the customer information on the customer from the customer information recording unit (14) with reference to the customer identification information read by the customer identification information reading unit (20a), a display unit (50) for displaying the customer information retrieved by the customer information retrieving unit (11), and a display control unit (13) for carrying out control so as to instruct the display unit (50) to display the customer information retrieved by the customer information retrieving unit (11), whereby attendance to a customer by an attendant is supported and the satisfaction of the customer is improved.
