An object of the present invention is to provide a biosensor which enables a measurement with a small amount of specimen, for which whole blood with a reduced influence of blood cell can be used without previously separating blood plasma components from the blood, in an analysis of a component in the blood. The biosensor comprises a sample introductory part (11) to which a sample solution is applied, a space forming material (9) for forming the sample introductory part, a part (10) where a cell contraction agent for causing cellular components in the sample solution to constrict is held, a sample holding part (6) where the sample solution is held, a developing layer (2) for developing the sample solution, a marker reagent holding part (3) where a marker reagent is held, and a reagent immobilization part (5) as an area on the developing layer (2) where a specific protein is held. Further, a retiform structure (7) is provided between the space forming material (9) and the developing layer (2).
