An application tool in which a ball is urged from a rear end side to provide smooth writing performance and to prevent drying up, etc. and which is easy to produce. A coil spring part (30) and a ball urging member (16) having a bar-like portion (31) provided on the front end side of the coil spring portion (30) are inserted into a tip main body (15) for an application tool. The tip main body (15) is provided with a ball house (20), a center hole (21) and a back hole (22). The front end side of the coil spring portion (30) is substantially in contact with a coil spring guide portion (37), and the front end portion (31a) of the bar-like portion (31) urges a ball (17) toward the end side. An inclination portion (34) where a spring winding direction is inclined or a deformed portion where the spring is deformed is provided at the rear end portion of the ball urging means (16) provided inside a tip (10). The inclination portion (34) or the deformed portion is in contact with an abutting portion. Further, the coil spring portion (30) has a densely wound portion (33) and a coarsely wound portion (32). The densely wound portion (33) is located in the middle in the length direction of the coil spring portion. In the densely wound portion (33), the coil is closely wound 1 to 7 turns.
