There is a rectangular recess (4) in the wall of the building (1). A water supply pipe (2) runs through a corner of the recess, and has a side branch (7) at forty-five degrees to the surface of the wall. a set of three telescopic tubes (8-10) is used, with interlocking flanges to hold the tubes together, when they reach full extension. The nozzle, or set of nozzles (5) is mounted on the outermost and smallest tube. The pressure of the water extends the tubes, and a tension coil spring (11) retracts the tubes when the water is turned off.
