The tool (10) is pressed against the cutting face of the grinding wheel (19) and drawn across it to produce a clean true surface. The dressing head (15) has a conical surface (18) and is mounted on a shaft rotating on bearings in the cylindrical housing and shank of the tool. Thus, when the tool is pressed against the grinding wheel, the dressing head rotates and produces a crush dressing action to true the wheel surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Produces clean, uniform grinding wheel surface.
