Temperature-controlled fluid friction clutch (10) for intermittent driving of a cooling fan, especially of an internal combustion engine, comprises an operating pin (11) movably arranged parallel to the surface of a separator (7). A valve lever (13) is connected at one end to the operating pin to form a vibrating end of the valve lever so that on the basis of its inherent tension it is connected in a sliding manner to the surface of the separator having the valve opening (12). The operating pin moves as a function of deformation of a temperature-sensitive element (20) caused by a change in ambient temperature in one direction parallel to the surface of the separator so that the vibrating end of the valve lever moves parallel to the surface of the separator and remains in contact with the surface. The open region of the valve opening is changed to control the fluid flow from the reservoir chamber (8) to the torque-transfer chamber (9).
