Form tool for the fabrication of fibrous rapid prototype model made from machined, etched or eroded block of raw material

In a rapid prototyping process a three-dimensional fibre model is produced with a form tool. The form tool is esp. milled, etched or eroded from a piece of raw material (1) incorporating a number of parallel channels (2), and exposing the channels. The final form is assembled from a number of e.g. brick-shaped forms to form a sieve-like structure. Prior to use, the final form is surrounded by a mesh minimising fibre ingress.
