A straightening machine re-aligns a distorted textile web. The machine has a main frame (2) around a rotating frame (3) with one or more straightening rollers (4, 5, 6). The rotating frame (3) is esp. linked to the surrounding frame (2) by an oscillation dampening bearing. The rotating frame (3) is supported towards the main frame (2) by a roller (24) whose axis of rotation (48) is approx. radial to that (9) of the frame (3). The frame (3) can be moved with respect to the oscillation dampener bearing. The oscillation dampener has a first beam which can be repositioned with respect to a second beam. The dampening element is a pack of plate springs.
